Each time that you play through a song, your characters will gain experience. This app makes it easier than ever to enjoy developing your characters, as you simply level them up and the abilities gained by doing so are automatically equipped to your characters to be triggered during the music stages. In addition to the three regular scores of differing levels—the Basic, Expert, and Ultimate scores—you’ll gain a further three Illusive Scores for each song: arrangements of the regular scores with similarly varying levels of difficulty. Collect the shards of these Illusive Scores by clearing Quest Medleys and open up new adventures. Whether you are a novice or an experienced veteran, you’ll be able to find a way to play that fits your level!

But I love ffix! ( ff9 ) You need to remake it! But when/if you do, DONT TAKE OUT ANY CHARACTERS! At the moment, my favorite character is Beatrix. And of course Vivi and Steiner. Just saying. + I love this game.
I had no issues over a year back when I had this on the phone, but I just tried to purchase a song and it said I bought it yet never received it. It was only $0.99, but its still money lost.
Havent experienced any crashes or performance issues thus far, and Ive been playing the two included songs over and over. The rest may be purchase-only, but thats the preferred system for a game that came free and is portable. I dont have any issue with the game and Ive loved playing it!
Also, for the record, Ive been playing on an iPad.
I dont know what all the reviews reporting problems were about. I have had no such trouble and think its am awesome app! Lots of fun. Its too bad it only comes with 2 songs but it is a ton of fun! Lots of familiar faces and tunes! Highly recommend!
Im playing this on an iPhone 4S and I love it I think its perfect for this version..also I dont see the problem with paying for songs? Doesnt the ISP version have more songs then the 3ds? So of course the total will be more expensive and I also I seen no complaining when tap tap revenge 3 did the same thing.
Some bad moments
Love this game, but with only 2 songs, its not worth purchasing all the dlc. Better luck next time!

I love this game, but it constantly crashes. Today, after it crashed, I only got a black screen of death whenever I attempted to relaunch the app. I refreshed it properly, rebooted my phone, etcetera. Finally had to delete the app and re-download. Unfortunately, every time you delete the app, you lose all your data, so Im starting over for the third time with this game. Please update it??

After enjoying it this game a great deal, I got a new phone and tried to download all my purchases again but every time I click download on the bundles and characters I own, it tells me I need to buy them even though the menu shows that I own them. Ive even pushed the restore purchases button. Very upsetting

I understand that you only get two tracks with the initial free download and every basic game pack (FF1-FF13) is 2.99 for 4 songs each, and Also single 99 cent songs. But this is far cheaper than rock band blitz tracks AND if youre a FF fan, this game is amazing.
Spend a few bucks a week on new tracks and more characters. I think we are too spoiled with 99 cent games to realize that not everything is going to be free or a buck. At least its not 29.99. Just buy the game OST you love and have memories with and youll see its definitely worth it
So I decided to get this to see what was different between it and the 3DS version only to find out that it gives you a grand total of TWO WHOLE SONGS and everything else is behind a pay wall. Square-Enix...Why? Just...Why!? Theres a slight understandability behind it since the app is free and the Actual game itself costing something but still....
I paid for more bundles, but now it will not download them! I want my money back, will be contacting apple.
